BL&A team members are recruited primarily from the adolescent mental health and law
enforcement industries.
This relevant professional experience is complemented by extensive training that includes: crisis prevention and
management training through the Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI), First S.T.E.P.™ therapeutic transportation
training, first aid, CPR, and on‐the-job mentoring by senior-‐ level therapeutic transportation specialists.
While our training is exhaustive, something we can’t teach is the ability to quickly
establish therapeutic rapport and trust with an
adolescent. Only those who consistently demonstrate this gift have a place on the BL&A team. We hire primarily from
the adolescent
treatment and law enforcement industries and conduct exhaustive background checks on all of our therapeutic transportation
professionals.
The quality of our team sets BL&A apart from other adolescent transportation companies.
Our goal is to provide a safe, comfortable, and secure transition
into treatment for both the child
and the family. We view our work as a critical part of the treatment process, since a positive transition reduces anxiety
and increases engagement, ensuring that treatment gets off to an effective start.
